Role Profile

We understand the role of a high-performing sales team in a growth business, and we are seeking a qualified Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join us. As the first line of communication with prospects, the ideal SDRs will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our Business Development Managers up for success.

Key skills we are looking for in this role include an appetite to learn, curiosity, exemplary communication skills and the ability to present our proposition in a compelling and engaging way to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.

Objectives of this role

  • Represent our company brand, starting with a comprehensive understanding of our services and then undertaking out research to identify how our services meet clients’ needs.

  • Generate sales leads and build relationships by nurturing cold and warm prospects and finding new potential sales partners.

  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage our Business Development Managers for next steps.

  • Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook.

Role responsibilities

  • Utilise Pipedrive, Talent Ticker, networking, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities.

  • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate services.

  • Take Marketing Qualified Leads and qualify as sales opportunities.

  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.

  • Working closely with colleagues in marketing to support and understand sales alignment with the integrated plan.

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and Business Development Managers.

  • Report to the Head of Sales with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate their skills and experience against the following criteria:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales environment, with a proven track record of exceeding lead targets.

  • Proficiency with CRM software and online research tools.

  • Excellent communication skills via phone and email, active listening and organising skills essential.

  • Resilient with a proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.

  • Ambitious with the desire to progress within a sales organisation.

  • Demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships at multiple levels across and organisation.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.

  • Create and maintain positive, collaborative, and trusting working relationships with a wide range of people within and outside the organisation.

  • Ability to proactively forge new relationships building trust with senior client stakeholders, investing time and energy in maintaining such relationships.
